GRR Review Fated Flames: A Witch and Shifter Urban by Luna Noir

Fated Flames is an urban fantasy by Luna Noir between a girl with unknown powers looking for her sister, and a bear-shifter who was hired to investigate.

Bernice is in the city to locate her sister, and she hired Wes, a private investigator who's also a bear-shifter. When Bernice "accidentally" killed a feral vampire with a flame burst that she had no control over, Wes had to keep her safe in the city of Haven, while giving her a little help. They were drawn together. As Bernice pursues her leads, Wes searched his, and Bernice's lead pointed at something hidden deep under the city, at an evil neither had anticipated...

The attraction between the pair was not explained that well other than "damsel in distress", but the development of Bernice from "babe in the city" to someone who can really take care of herself, as well as figure out the whole mystery, was good. it's more of an adventure than romance, IMHO. The plot is quite good with proper pivots as Bernice and Wes chase from clue to clue.

Category: Paranormal

Primary Plot: Girl with unknown powers met a bear-shifter PI in the city to find the girl's sister, stumbled into a dark evil conspiracy
