GRR Review: A Night to Forget by Jessica Wood

A Night to Forget by Jessica Wood started with an intriguing premise and ended on a cliff-hanger with a couple of bad experiences in between, plus plenty of misunderstandings. The characters are pretty shallow, IMHO, and the mood seems to switch from chapter to chapter.

Emma Anderson dreamed of a man who made passionate love to her on a beach, even though Emma had problems putting out with her long-term BF John because Emma was almost raped years earlier. She and her classmates spent their senior year spring break in Cancun. They arrived and planned to take back plenty of memories. She also met Brandon Fisher there, tall, sexy, literally the man in her dreams. After getting drunk she did spend a night with him... that she can't remember, and she believed she lost her v-card that night to him. It was to her horror she found that Brandon Fisher is her new boss' son and her new team leader, and he did not seem to remember her...

Don't want to spoil the book. The tension between the two is interesting, but the external threats are too... vague and trope. Add the cliffhanger ending and it's below average.
