GRR Review: Untamed Volume 1 by Victoria Green and Jen Meyers

Untamed Volume 1 by Victoria Green and Jen Meyers is a heavily emotional story about how much trauma the FMC had to endure and how the one person who made her feel something proper maybe someone she can never have.

Reagan McKinley is rich, beautiful, and want of nothing... on the surface. She was wearing so many expectations, she was feeling strangled, and her life was not her own. When she met Dare Wilde, who is a force of nature, sexy, unbridled, and wanted to free her from her gilded cage, for they share a passion for art. But can such a passion stay untamed?
I really did feel for the FMC, Reagan, and her turmoil, in that she had spent 18 years living under the strict control, one cannot simply "free" oneself from that overnight, over months, or over whatever. One night with "Dare" and she started to see the possibilities of getting what *she* wanted, and not what everybody else wanted for her. There was also a dark trauma hinted at 4 years prior that was covered up because it would make her family look bad. It's certainly a sad story and a lot of people may rage at the ending. I personally did not have a problem but it certainly angst-y. If you want an emotional roller-coaster, read this.

Category: Contemporary

Primary Plot: Rich but restricted girl found a wild artist who showed her what may be possible in a life that's not under family control...

NOTE: Does NOT end on a HEA, 4 more volumes of their unfinished business

Overall Rating: 4/5
