GRR Reviews Collision Course by Chuck Gleason

Collision Course was a LONG novel that documented the LONG courtship between Kelli and Lincoln, that lasted almost SIX YEARS!

Kelli meets Lincoln at Denison college, but due to a bad impression he made (he criticized her writing) she hated him for a long while and hooked up with a sophomore, but she found she doesn't love him, and later, realized he went home and was also f***ing a hometown girl. This soured her for a while on relationships, while he pursued her but she keeps turning him down. Linc was also being groomed at home for a position in the family store, even though he hated so. The two continued to hit and miss each other, going to school dances but did not hook up, even though they loved each other. Linc joined a literary agency as Kelli finished her novel, and Kelli got the blow-off by Linc (even though she used a pen name). A different agent loved the book and it became a national bestseller, but against kept the couple apart... Basically, these two kept circling each other but never quite staying together until... The wedding!

It's just a bunch of scenes that covered the 6 years of their lives, from the meet to the wedding. The struggle? Hmmm... I guess there's enough push pull to make it fun. And Linc's mom? TOTAL douchebag, even to the end, so egotistical and oblivious to the world she's almost comic relief instead of "evil". Things basically happen, and both MMC and FMC react to it. Their decisions seem to have very little effect on their emotional lives. There seems to be no major ups and downs in the emotions in the romance area.

Overall, I guess I did get some warm fuzzies. But that's about it.
