GRR Reviews Prejudice Meets Pride (Meet Your Match) by Rachael Anderson

Prejudice Meets Pride is a "neighbors into lovers" and "opposites attract" novel with an interesting pairing, but the FMC came across as a bit too strong to the point of being stubborn.

Emma managed to put herself through art school relying only on herself, not even Uncle Sam. However, when tragedy struck, she had to move across the country, put her own plans on hold, to take custody of her two nieces while their father joins a construction crew in a different state. She has no job, no money, and no idea how to be a mother. A cheap house was all she can afford, but it will do for now, but she will figure it out. What she didn't count on was her neighbor, Kevin Grantham, who believed her to be a single mother klutz who had no clue on anything. Which makes Kevin the arrogant prejudiced SOB. But soon, both realize their impressions of each other are very wrong. Emma just has a lot of pride in herself and would rather die before asking for help, while Kevin, a pediatric dentist, is just the helping kind of guy. But for the sake of each other... they will change... and for the kids. But in their way are the disapproving town folks, a jealous office manager, and a whole lot of trust issues...

Emma comes across as both stubborn to the point of frustrating, while at times, completely clueless (and refuse to admit it). Who moves across the country and take custody of two kids with NO PLAN and NO JOB, and yet too prideful to accept even a little help? Kevin at least comes across as a kind and gentle guy, but as a pediatric dentist, he had to be. Still, the back-and-forth is fun, if you can get past Emma's grating personality, at least initially, so she learned to eat humble pie, basically. And Kevin lost his holier than thou attitude. That made the story better than average.
