GRR Reviews The Fall Up by Aly Martinez

The Fall Up is a contemporary romance between FMC who's a celebrity in disguise and an MMC whose kindness made her believe again.

Levee is a celebrity who lost herself. She wanted to help others but there are too many demands, pulling her apart. She went up to the bridge nightly, not wishing to be recognized until Sam found her. She may even be contemplating about jumping... when Sam brought her back... with a simple conversation. And he doesn't recognize her. The conversation grounded her, and that leads to more conversations, meals, dates... and they fell in love. But why was Sam on the bridge as well? What secrets was he hiding? Is there a future for them?

The book managed to convey the seriousness of suicide prevention without getting preachy. I however, found that her lack of bodyguard rather surprising if she's as famous as she is. The characters are nicely drawn and revelations are slow in coming and each little thing makes you (and the characters) reconsider their relationship with others, about balancing responsibilities and love and friendship.
