GRR Reviews Summer Beach Vets: Playing Santa by H.Y. Hanna
Summer Beach Vets: Playing Santa is a contemporary romance that matched up a kind Yank woman vs. an Aussie veterinarian. While cute pets are involved, the trope of some whispered innuendo that sent the FMC running in a fit of inadequacy is way too trope for this to be above average.
Holly is a Yank in Australia house sitting for a couple she helped save in the US, and she is definitely having the time of her life. When she rescued a litter of puppies, she also came to meet the handsome Aussie veterinarian Nick Forrester. Nick somehow knew that Holly and him belong together, but can he convince her of that, when there was so much culture clash, and vicious rumors are spread to keep them apart?
Puppies are cute, but it can't save the novel with trope plot from a mediocre rating. Trope is trope, no matter how many cute puppies you put in it.
Category: Contemporary
Primary Plot: Cute Yank woman meets handsome veterinarian around holidays over some abandoned puppies; can they have an HEA despite culture clash and gossiping evil wenches?
Tropes: doctor/patient, pets, different worlds
