GRR Reviews Those Red High Heels by Katherine May

Those Red High Heels is a contemporary romance about loving the wrong person and how to set things right against obligations. While the twists were predictable, the relationships are nicely executed.

Emma Walker had just the worst day in her life. Her boyfriend cheated on her. She just got downsized, and her pet dog is having... toilet problems. She's gotten weary of her life in Chicago. When her bestie Brynn, who's recently engaged, called upon her to come help her in NYC as maid of honor, Emma took the chance to move to NYC permanently, just as an offer of a new job arrived from New York. As Emma settled in New York, she came to know Greyson Lyons, someone who seems to be compatible with her, despite he's a rich blueblood. However, he's already engaged to Nora Mathews. But as serendipity kicked in, Emma came to know Greyson does not love Nora. They were engaged only because their parents thought them a good pair. But can Emma be "the third woman" in a relationship? Even as Greyson called off the wedding, Nora dropped the bomb that she's pregnant...

The twists are pretty much predictable. The problem is the darkest hour and grand gesture. There is a darkest hour... Where Greyson made a choice that did not go well for the FMC. However, the grand gesture was basically a reconciliation. That's a really lame grand gesture.
