Breaking Rules by Mia Ford is a decent "old man young woman" romance novella, at only 70+ pages.
Vienna "Vie" just graduated law school and moved back home, and he really really wants his father's best friend Payne, who's twice her age, to get her V-card. To start on her plan, she started working for Payne in his law firm and tries to seduce Payne. Payne tried to resist but eventually succumbs, and they had an affair behind daddy's back... Until she got pregnant. Now what?
I don't mind the old man -- younger woman romance, but this is immature as heck. She's a virgin but knows how to act like a sex kitten. He knows he should not and already treated her like a daughter but decided to bonk her anyway. Okay, I guess it's kinda romantic. I'd give this 2.5 rounded up to 3/5
NOTE: Following bonus stories were included in the book when first reviewed, but are NO LONGER in the current edition of the book as of 2018-MAR-01 posting of this review.
Next bonus story left me just angry. Belle just lost her step-dad, who was quite rich and insisted on making her mom stay at home. Somehow, his will left EVERYTHING to his son Jackson. Her mom was totally devastated and begged her to go see Jackson because she's afraid she'll be homeless, except Jackson only smirked at her, basically told her to "go tell mommy to get a job". She stormed out after pouring her mimosa in his face. Somehow Jackson found her running away in New York, and grabbed her. And somehow that melted her panties. Then he hit her with a truly indecent proposal... He'll give her mom (and his stepmom) 3 million PLUS monthly stipend if she'll give him her v-card. Yes, he just propositioned his own step-sister. WTF?!?!?!?!!?!?!
I stopped reading at that point. WTF. The total page count is like 1400 pages, and I honestly don't want to know what other random bits of GARBAGE would be among the remain "bonus content".
