GRR Reviews Billionaire's Second Chance by Claire Adams

Billionaire's Second Chance sets up a different worlds romance, only to pivot into a triangle late in the book that feels too little too late.

Austin Harris knew he had to get out of the small town of North Reed and make his fortunes in New York, even if he had to leave everyone behind, including his high school sweetheart, Rebecca. And he did exactly that. He made his billions, and he lived the lifestyle of rich and famous in the glitter... but when his father fell sick, he had to go home... And ran into Rebecca, who's now the town hair stylist, just as she said she would. And it was clear they are not over each other. But when Austin's clingy model ex showed up in town, intending to take him back, will Rebecca reject Austin just on principle "you don't belong here"? What can Austin do to convince Rebecca she's the one?

Not up to the usual polish by the author, this one just feels trope and the "threat" just didn't feel serious enough.
