GRR Reviews Mad Love (1) by Colet Abedi
Mad Love is a novel about a "holiday fling" that turned into a bit more. However, it didn't seem to have anything really special to set it apart.
Sophie Walker is tired of her controlling parents. She wanted to be an artist, not a lawyer, even though she can make the grades. She doesn't even want her passionless boyfriend. So she dragged her two best friends and went to the Maldives for a vacation... and ran into Clayton Sinclair... much richer, and much more seductive than she had ever experienced. But can she stay when all she wanted was to get away from controlling people, even Clayton, even when his touch sets her ablaze with passion?
Another ingenue vs. billionaire story, I don't really see what's so special about this one. Honestly. Background is trope, AND plot is trope.
NOTE: There's a sequel
Category: Contemporary
Primary Plot: Well to do girl, rebelling against parents, ran off with friends to Maldives for vacation, encounters billionaire bachelor...
Overall Rating: 3/5
NOTE: Tropes are now in the "Labels" below.
