GRR Reviews Loving Again by Michele Barlow

Evie had everything going for her. Great job, beautiful daughter, loving husband, but when her husband died it took her months to recover to the point of being able to go out to the public. Only her support group called the "Broken Hearts Club" kept her going. Now she's determined to keep her bookstore running in the small town of Friday Harbor. When a water pipe break threatened her livelihood, she called everywhere for help, until her neighbor sent Leo to her door. Leo is a big handyman who is looking for someone special, and this single mother may be the one if she accepts him. However, is in a small town, where gossip travels at the speed of light, can Evie grab happiness despite the expectations of others?

It's a short novel (120 pages), and while the meet-cute is right, it's nothing too extraordinary. The small touches are good, and the setup for the other novels are quite unobtrusive.

Category: Contemporary

Primary Plot: Grieving woman may have found her second love in a small town, in the form of a handyman...

Overall Rating: 4/5
