GRR Reviews Chaos Theory by Merry Farmer
The town of Haskell Wyoming is all into the new Paradise Space Flight business, esp. when the company announced a competition... Each of the new employees will be paired with a local for "orienteering" competition: be dropped in the wilderness and navigate your way out with just a map and compass. Moreover, Melody, part owner of the local flower shop, and a generally chaotic wild child has her eyes set on one hunky engineer, Will Darling. // Will Darling is a fierce competitor who sticks to schedules and plans, having had a father who tried to get him a job at NASA after his father was not chosen for an astronaut position. He chose Paradise Space Flight mainly to get away from his dad, and pairing him with the chaotic Melody is causing some serious sizzle, even as they are dropped into the middle of Shoshone National Forest. Determined to win, they had to work together nearby, and soon they found themselves fighting nature, saboteurs, and just plain chemistry...
This one is better than the first one, IMHO. The orienteering thing is fun, the complications and feelings for each other started to complicate things. Add some wild adventures, each of them dealing with personal fears and doubts (she has a fear of heights, he's afraid of his father) and you have one heck of a book.
