GRR Reviews Ruined by the SEAL by Zoe York
Mick got discharged from the SEALs after giving his all, including almost his leg. He has a titanium rod and months of PT to remember it by. Now he's helping out a buddy to check out this family plantation, Villa Sucre, that his buddy inherited on this Caribean island and draw up some plans to turn it into an executive training/bonding retreat ran by ex-SEALs. However, when he got there, he found the place was already occupied by Cara, the director of island's Historical Society... who had already started renovating the place... Mick was under the impression the plantation mansion was going to his buddy who's the grandson of the owner. Cara was under the impression that the old lady donated it to the historical society. The two immediately clashed over everything, and neither is willing to give an inch. Mick moved into servant's quarters (and the only working bathroom), and Cara, not willing to concede, started to camp out in the main ballroom. In this war of the sexes, someone will have to give a little for both to win...
Opposites attract works well enough, but why do most heroines end up being "feisty redheads"? At least there's no SEAL abuse here... Mick is ex-SEAL.
Category: Contemporary
