GRR Reviews To Catch a Texas Cowboy by Julie Benson
Grace was laid off after doing the right thing, and that also precludes finding a job anywhere near NYC. She headed off to Wishing TX to help her best friend run a B&B, and get a fresh start. However, before she even hit the city limits, she rear-ends the local police chief's pickup. Moreover, when the chief, AJ, took off his shirt to clean her cut brow, she just about fainted on the spot. However, then she reminded herself... Cops are cynical straight-arrows... she would know, her father's a cop, and she's never get involved with one. Look at how her parents ended up. // AJ is the police chief of Wishing, but he's also FBI working undercover. There is an ID forger in the area, and when his best friend died there doesn't seem to be any clues left. His boss is in a hurry to have him wrap it up here so he can go back to the "real" crimes. When Grace crashed into his life, AJ starts to question whether Wishing should be his permanent residence...
Awwww, cute meet-up. Although I honestly don't see why FBI would send an agent undercover... posing as a cop! That made no sense, IMHO. If he had to be police chief, how would he have time to go undercover? Chief in a small town is like the most visible job ever.
