Twelve years ago, Kaitlyn thought about HEA with Clay Morgan... Except her grandma has much bigger plans for her, and being a young wife of a lowly deputy in the small town of McKenna Springs, TX will not do. So Kaitlyn went to Broadway to pursue her career, but with a broken heart. Years later, Clay is now a Texas Ranger, and has a young son to raise. He let go of the only woman he loved, and it was not an easy choice. But grandma's guilty conscience and heart disease brought an epiphany... It's time for Clay and Kaitlyn to have a second chance... But only if they can see past the pain and guilt in each other...
Angst-y, but everything seems to flow together quite well. My only problem is a Texas Ranger using Texas State Trooper to conduct a traffic stop so he can get there with a chopper... Isn't that abusing authority? :)
