GRR Reviews Finding You (Candellanos) by Maureen Child

Carla took an indefinite leave of absence from search and rescue after failing to save a child. She retreated to her hometown, not willing to try again. She wondered about the stranger moving next door, but finding the mute daughter Reese playing with her puppies and her handsome but distant father, Jackson Wyatt, intrigued her. // Jackson Wyatt is running out of time and options. His daughter Reese had not spoken a word since the car accident that killed his wife, and his in-laws gave a deadline... Reese is going into an institute if they don't see any results by end of summer, which is only a few months ago. Jackson had no idea how to bring his daughter back, but Carla's puppies seemed to help a lot, and the rest of Carla's big Italian family helped too. When Carla and Jackson ended up compare notes, they each realized they felt guilty about their past... but should they? And how does one let go of the pain that defined them?

I like the family and the way the scars are laid out, and each forcing to other to see their pain in a new light.
