GRR Reviews Bruiser by Samantha Whiskey

Hudson is Seattle's newest bruiser for the Shark hockey team, after being traded from Ontario (in disgrace). He joined "Big Brother" program for PR points, and came into contact with Elliot (a girl who loves hockey) and her mom, Shea. Shea had been hurt before... her evil ex basically treated her like dirt and she ran and did all she could to raise Elliot... and she detests violence and hockey... and bruisers like Hudson. But Hudson confuses her, for he's gentle and protective off the ice. When her evil ex came back (because Shea and Hudson's relationship went public) his protectiveness will be put to the test...

Not bad, the reluctant lover thing was put very nicely. The problem is her evil ex was really shallow, and how easily her evil ex got past his security system, yet dumb enough to call for ransom (yes, you can guess where this went).
