Cara Mia needs a new direction in life. Her parents are gone, and her son's off to college. She decided to visit grandpa in the little town of Treasure Coast, FL. When he heard that someone will be tearing down the nick-nack shop she used to visit to make way for a new gas station that will put her grandpa's gas station / auto shop out of business, she bought the shop through a bit of mistaken identity. Unfortunately, it was that very night that she found a corpse inside... the very agent who sold her (by mistake) the shop. Now a prime suspect in the murder, Cara Mia had to find out just what exactly she bought... even as she came face to face to her first love... Cooper who's about to be married... to a woman who looked a lot like her... and the original buyer of that shop. Why is grandpa angry at her for buying the shop? What was Cooper's plan? Who stole the "Highwaymen" paintings (that are now worth a fortune) from the shop before it was trashed? What's between the big burly detective and waitress? And who killed the real estate agent?
This is a murder mystery, not romance. There is a hint of it, but not much. But the plot twists are quite good. You will get all the answers before the book's end. And that's good. However, the adventure will continue (which is sort of a spoiler).
