GRR Reviews The Heart Revealed by Daphne Emmerson

Emma lost her job when a typo lost her company their biggest client. She headed home and found her fiancee snuggled up to a petite redhead. Betrayed and unemployed, she had no choice but to head home and live with her eccentric handicapped artist mother in the Texas Hill Country. Fortunately, upon arriving in town, she met Joey Hamilton, ex school-mate, now temporary head of Hamilton Enterprises, and all grown up and handsome as sin. And he offered her a job as interim event coordinator (the original had to take maternity leave, in her final month of pregnancy).  // Joey is in charge while his parents went off on a long vacation on the other side of the world. Joey is all business and decided to trim some fat from the operations... such as getting rid of some real estate holdings that are not making money. And having Emma around would help very much, as Emma is a great event planner. In fact, Joey wants to pursue Emma. But Joey's decision came back to haunt him and it may be the one thing that would drive Emma out of this town forever...

Oh, the early decision's rationale was not that well explained. How it affected everything else, however, is a snowball rolling downhill, and very nice escalation.
