GRR Reviews The Unlikely Bride by Kimberly Krey

The new sheriff in Cobble Creek, Trent, was formerly a big city cop. A bit of a stickler for rules, and hiding a personal demon from his past, he's also in a small town and far away from eligible women. As he patrolled downtown on foot, he found himself starring at illegally posted flyers ALL OVER TOWN... for a benefit event ran by Jessie Jean, who also runs the Country Quilt Inn. // Jessie Jean is not a stickler for rules. Doing good comes first. She knew the town called her a saint behind her back, not that she wanted the recognition. And just what sort of heartless monster is the new sheriff Trent, taking down her flyers? (Though he's seriously handsome)  But as the two came to learn more about each other, their opinions changed, and there's grudging respect, and perhaps, even friendship, between the two. Until she learned the dark tragedy that made him what he is today...

Perfectly plausible until the darkest hour, and let's just say I don't like the darkest hour or the change of heart that fixed it. 4/5
