Single mom Cinda, the owner of Fairy Godmother Cleaning Agency, is quite busy managing her business (including two of her half-sisters) and has no time for a man. Her last man left her a present (in the form of pregnancy) 5 years ago and was never heard from since. When flu swept through town, Cinda had to put on a maid's uniform to clean her client's house... and that's when she ran into Prince Alexander... // Prince Alexander takes a vacation every year with his family, but hates America... and hadn't been back for five years. He just wanted to get the Holidays over with. Their early arrival surprised the cleaning crew... Esp. Cinda... Because Alex is her ex... the one that left her that surprise... And she can't tell him about his son, because she can't risk him taking her son away from her... And they are now stranded away from everyone by the storm...
Basically a retelling of Cinderella, complete with "evil" step-mother. Good job mixing in secret baby trope along with forced proximity, but it's still trope. 3.5/5

GRR Reveiws The Billionaire's White Lie by Amy Deluca
Art photographer Kristal had always lived in a mansion and indulged in her photography as a hobby since she has a trust fund that can easy support her frugal living. But her father passed away, and her step-mother abruptly informed her that the mansion is being repossessed, and someone stole her trust fund. She's off chasing another man to support her lifestyle, sayonara! Kristal is reduced to couch surf at her best friend's place (and babysit if available) and waitressing at a high-end restaurant, but she won't take handouts... // Hunter rose from humble beginnings to a tech billionaire and he never forgot Kristal, the rich but kind not spoiled girl from school When he suddenly found Kristal as his waitress, he was stunned. But his attempt to help her was rebuffed until he came up with a white lie: he needs a roommate at the rented mansion to help pitch a TV show with his six housemates, often jokingly called together, the seven dwarves, and Kristal can be their Snow White. Hunter will fund the TV show himself if he can just get Kristal close to him... even if this Snow White never finds her prince in him...
This is a modern retelling of a classic fairy tale, and the setup isn't too bad. The tension however, doesn't ratchet up quite right, as the darkest hour pretty much had to be her moving out to pursue her own career and place to live, probably far away. And the ending was a far-too-convenient overheard confession by the two people that betrayed Kristal. 3.5/5

GRR Reviews The Billionaire's Black Book by Amy Deluca
Reporter Bonnie just got a prime assignment from her editor: go interview billionaire author Jack Bestia, whose multi-book fantasy saga has a TV series adaptation, and people are eagerly waiting for his 7th book in the series. Unfortunately, Bonnie gets super nervous in front of her idols, and Jack is one of her idols. And when Bonnie's super-nervous, she gets verbal diarrhea and her hands started waving all over the place... And Bonnie's previous encounter with Jack resulted in... uh... let's not talk about that. // Jack has already missed multiple deadlines, and hates any invasion of his privacy, esp. by a reporter. And he actually had barely a few pages written, a TINY fraction of what he SHOULD have written. This is due to someone leaking his novel outline... and all signs pointed to his ex-girlfriend, not that he'll ever let her in again. Jack decided to be gnarly and drive Bonnie away... but when Bonnie accidentally saw his "new" outline, he had to keep her isolated while he write the book... that means keeping her with him...
Eh... that barely works. And authors don't become billionaires, at least not from a single series. And he hits it big with his 2nd book ever? That's outright FANTASY. George R R Martin is now 71, and he had been writing for like almost 50 years, and he's only now pulling in millions in advances and royalties. He's certainly not a billionaire. And Jack is not behaving logically. He gets nasty, feels sorry, apologizes, then "keep her isolated" for a month, and suddenly, he can write 1000+ pages in a month? Dang, that's some writing speed. 2.5/5
