GRR Reviews Bear to Love by Amy Lamont

Macy is a bear shifter in a family of bear shifters, and has a gift to calm and care for any animals, including humans. // Nash and Gage, both bear shifters, survived their mission and made it back, but traumatized. What they've seen... shall not be talked about, and they found only they can calm each other, else both have nightmares. When Macy decided to help them, she suddenly found herself (and her bear) wanting both of them... even though every bearshifter she knew are monogamous... Will they end up the only MFM paring in known history, even though it felt so right?

The plot is shallow, as basically they are trying to understand their attraction to each other, as it's almost taboo (but it's not, merely unconventional). Sex is pretty hot, but there wasn't much else to it.

GRR Reviews Christmas with the Billionaire (Holiday Encounters) by Amy Lamont

Christmas with the Billionaire started with a childish dare, and a woman with obviously too much alcohol in her system with a bit of romance can only be explained by "mistletoe magic". The rest of book is a bit of "meh".

Emma Glover is an introvert author who writes about sex for syndicated column under a pen name. A dare/bet among friends sent her seducing a stranger near Christmas in a hotel, and he liked her too. They had a one night stand, but he turned cold when he saw her "press" pass... Then she found out he's Nate Wilder, billionaire media mogul. Will mistletoe magic work on billionaires? Are they too different to truly explain their affections to each other? That they both may want more than just a fling?

Really, some Christmas alcohol and a shy introvert become a sex kitten? The "uh... I dunno" meetcute aside, the plot about discovering a "press pass" was actually a good complication, and this is under 100 pages so I wasn't expecting a ton of plot, but it made use of what's there. So overall, average.

GRR Reviews Summer with the Soldier (Holiday Encou by Amy Lamont

Summer with the soldier is a  "fling to a thing" story that wasn't very deep but wasn't angst-y either.

Jade Roberts liked to see her friends happy, which is why she throws these parties to match people up, and when she saw the hunk on her beach, her heart sputtered. It was Logan Murphy, her best friend's older brother, home for 2 weeks R&R after deployments in Afghanistan. It'd be the perfect summer fling. She's willing, he's gorgeous. But they were friends before. Can they be more?

This is a short romance, where Jade picked Logan over the rockstar hottie for the night-time tryst. And Logan was obviously a bit PTSD'ed and Jade seem to be the perfect person to draw him out of his shell. But there's always the question: can Jade stick around for a couple more months while Logan finished his tour? There really wasn't a darkest hour per se. It's sweet, and it's about choices and that wish fulfillment of making love to the long-time crush.
