GRR Reviews Accidentally Into You by Ashlee Price

Lily was just a nightclub manager when she witnessed something she shouldn't have... Her boss Burke ordering someone's murder. Now framed for the same murder, she was fortunate to encounter a straight cop, who took her to Grant. Grant is a tech billionaire with a hidden personal vendetta against Burke. While he doesn't want to babysit, he also cannot standby to see her dead. As Grant seek evidence to put Burke away, Burke knew someone is after him... and then betrayal came from an unexpected source...

Eh... Didn't feel much chemistry between the two other than forced proximity. And the betrayal is practically "by the book", and always occur at the most stupid time (when she decided he doesn't love her and she wanted to leave, despite having nowhere to go and bad guy still out there). That's a TSTL moment. 3/5

GRR Reviews A Beautiful Mistake by Ashlee Price

Dustin, a rich playboy, is in the hospital, loopy from pain meds, after suffering a busted appendix. In his confused state, he somehow got himself married to resident doctor Marian. A few weeks later, he found out about the marriage, and wanted to get it annulled, but after meeting Marian, totally sober this time, he wanted to get to know her better before serving her divorce papers. Marian is trying to get away from her ex Liam, who's turning downright stalker-ish. Dustin agree to help Marian get rid of Liam by playing up the husband/wife angle. One thing leads to another... Would Dustin and Marian consummate their relationship? Would they actually get a divorce? When the hospital suffered a catastrophe, would they ever see each other again?

What kind of official would marry someone who's loopy and someone who's simply walking away? While the "married by mistake" scenario is cute, it's also completely implausible. And the rest of the scenario... I'd say there's something not quite right in Dustin's head. When one wants a divorce, one does not try to seduce the "wife", no matter how cute. The ending also felt it kinda came out of nowhere. 3/5

GRR Reviews His Surprise Package by Ashlee Price

Aaron can't believe his sister Marjorie is dead, drowned in a bathtub, and 2 months pregnant. He was sure her then-boyfriend Max had killed her, but Max was exonerated in court, and promptly disappeared. Seven years later, Aaron still hadn't hunted down Max. After a night of stupid parties and gotten very drunk, Aaron found himself having married Teri on a dare. Teri just wanted to be an interior designer, and getting married to Aaron, who's rich and influential wasn't the plan, but she'd enjoy it while it lasts (which is not very long). When he refused to let her go, she's confused, angry, and sad. But he had his reasons: Teri is really Max's biological sister, and she'll be the perfect bait to lure Max out of hiding, so Aaron can get his revenge... But the longer they sorta live together, the more real feelings they develope for each other... Even though Aaron reminded himself "she's related to the killer of my sister"... Until she's threatened, and he'll protect what's his...

Eh, Aaron is hot and cold, just outright weird. I don't like it. I find such elaborate revenge plots to be rather dumb and impossible to realize, and is a trope in itself.

GRR Reviews His Rock by Ashlee Price

Lena was a production assistant of a reality show, and when a contestant bowed out last second, she was forced to step up and temporarily be married to recently retired Olympic swimmer Riley Boyle so the show must go on. Yes, it was just for one week, but it's legal and all that. Riley was a "bad boy", and Lena fell for the bad boy but resisted, but eventually succumbed and handed over her V-card, but Riley was hiding a huge secret... He's actually a billionaire heir. Riley left Lena, knowing it's all he can give before going back to his billionaire heir life, but Lena got a surprise... she's pregnant...

The facts surely don't make sense. Reality show is not filmed in real-time. Filming for a week would barely make one hour's worth of footage after editing, even if they are the only couple being filmed. And the personality... and the marriage contract... Why they must be married for real to be on TV? Hmmm???  Sure, there's chemistry, but the setup itself is suspect. The book actually got better once the setup was out of the way, as it turned into a bit of a conspiracy triangle when Riley matured to perhaps want to STAY married to Lena, while, let's just say, someone close to him want to steer him in the other direction. The final setup was actualy quite good, a good climax to setup the hero rescue. However, I do have a question... WHY aren't they laying down flat if the wind's that strong?
