GRR Reviews Hate Loving You by Aubrey Wright

Carter and Jenny were an item in high school until she found him with Kendra. He swore "it wasn't what it looks like", but trust has been broken. Ten years later, Carter is here to attend Jenny's big brother Sam's wedding. Carter and Jenny got back together, until somehow, Kendra was again, there at the wrong moment...

Okay, I am surprised that neither of them figured out someone is always there messing them up. That brings up a different question though. Why would that guy also has "proof" of Sam's fiancee cozying up to someone else, and chose to show it to Carter and Jenny? Was it just to have Carter fail miserably and appear even less credible? While satisfying, it almost qualifies as TSTL. In fact, I predicted the ending... when the perp made a verbal slip. 4/5

GRR Reviews Broken Hero by Aubrey Wright

Natalie is a skilled lawyer, but she chose the wrong boyfriend, Joey. Turns out, Joey's a mob prince, and he won't take no for an answer. When not even the cops are willing to do something, Natalie had to hire her own security, Garrett. And Garrett is strikingly handsome and powerful. But Garrett has a secret... He's actually working for Joey, because Joey is threatening his sister studying in California. Garrett is supposed to dissuade Natalie from going to the cops... because she knew too much about Joey. But Garrett had fallen for Natalie. How can he extract himself, his sister, AND Natalie from Joey's trap? Can his relationship with Natalie be saved? Or will he be betrayed just like he betrayed her?

Pretty good twists and turns. 4/5

GRR Reviews Crush by Aubrey Wright

Luke and Dixie are step-siblings. They fell for each other, but due to step-dad's tough treatment and small-town attitude, they never acted on their desires. Instead, Luke was mean to Dixie, to drive her away so he's not tempted. Ten years later, Luke's back in town for a restaurant project and Dixie tries to run the tourism center. But Adam, the guy who got Dixie's V-card, is now the police chief, and he wants her back. Luke's ready to take his relationship with Dixie to the next level. But Luke's father is still in town, and they still hate each other. When Luke and Dixie's relationship leaked, will their love survive?

Some people get a bit queasy with step-sibling romances. I don't. But there are a few things here I guess I just don't get. Why is Dixie so *stuck* to this town, even with all the horrible things said about her even back then? And the ending regarding Adam was wrapped up a bit TOO conveniently.

GRR Reviews Hate You Less by Aubrey Wright

Rick got Annie's v-card, then left town without a word before she graduated (he's ahead by a year). A decade later, Rick's sister's wedding brought both Rick and Annie back to town... As Annie is the bride's best friend. Rick's rental car snafu means Rick and Annie had to share a vehicle, and later, a hotel room. And they are clearly not over each other... Even though they are still great in bed... They have to put their differences aside when the groom seems to be cheating just days before the wedding...

Not bad, the love/hate schtick was over pretty quickly, moving to a more of "reluctant lovers" i.e. "my head says no, my body says yes". But most of the drama is about the bride/groom rather than Annie and Rick, which is a little weird. Still, I like it well enough.
