GRR Reviews Royal Arrangement by Ember Casey
Royal Arrangement is about a reluctant royal couple in a marriage of convenience. However, in order to make this a 6-volume set, this volume barely managed to move the plot... Very little happened.
Prince William of Montovia is to wed Princess Justine of Rosvalia in a political marriage. He was third in line, and he thought he can marry for love, but when his oldest brother went to a monastery, and his second brother fell for a foreigner, he had to step up to do the political marriage. But Justine does not want to be wed, and refused to consummate the marriage... in private. William likes the fiery temper of Justine, and is intrigued by her mysterious past. And Rosvalia is keeping more than a few secrets, even to their new son-in-law. But William has a plan to seduce his wife...
This book barely covers the marriage and just started in the honeymoon phase. There's way too much smirking and cliffhanger.

GRR Reviews His Wicked Games (The Cunningham Fam by Ember Casey
His Wicked Games starts with a goal, but the goal was quickly subverted into a seduction game, and from there it went somewhere, the goal is all but forgotten until the "twist", to which the FMC reaction was just simply unbelievably stupid.
Lily wanted to save her family arts museum, and apparently, the ONLY one who can save it was Calder Cunningham, whose family used to donate to the museum. And since he's not taking calls, or letting people in, she jumps the fence and decided to confront him in person. Instead of calling security and ejecting her, he basically invited her in and seduced her, by inviting her to play naughty games.
WARNING SPOILER AHEAD
After she won, he basically told her that sorry to be playing with your head, you're a distraction from my daddy's death, but there's no money. I've been lying all along. WTF?!?!?!
Both characters are being complete douchebags. She for being stalker, he for being... a dick!
Category: Contemporary
Primary Plot: woman who needs money for family museum went to the rich family who used to donate, jumped over the fence, met rich sexy guy, falls for his charms... but will he donate?
Tropes: enemies to lovers, stalker
Overall Rating: 2/5
GRR Reviews The Secret to Seduction (The Fontaines) by Ember Casey
The Secret To Seduction is a story about a girl finally coming out of her shell and getting some self-esteem, but also how her love can be much closer than she expected rather than with her childhood crushes. However, it is also a trope, i.e. "I'll learn to seduce but I'll also fall in love with my teacher" story.
Felicia Liddle doesn't see herself as beautiful, and she'd gladly blend into the background to get the scoop for the gossip magazine she worked for. However, when the magazine changed ownership, Felicia found her job on the chopping block, unless she lands one major interview with one of the Fontaine Brothers, notorious for refusing interviews. Felicia has but one weapon: her female charms, as the Fontaine Brothers are known to never resist a beautiful woman... And Felicia had always an infatuation of the Fontaine Brothers but her seduction skills are, by her own estimation, negligible. But her new boss, Roman Everet, who gave her the one week to get her seduction tuned up, is willing to teach her... hands on...
In a way, this is also "alpha billionaire vs. ingenue" story, but the emphasis here is on the girl, not the guy, and that made it much better than the typical ones.
And I like this new cover a lot better.
