Mary Ellen just wanted to be a good elementary school teacher, but when a rooster showed up at her door, she took him in. And when he dashed out into the street, she named him Crazy. And another Crazy escape had her ran straight into the arms of her school principal, and single dad, Wes, who's also her neighbor. // Wes wasn't sure what to do with Mary Ellen. She's beautiful, blonde hair and blue eyes, but she's also a teacher in his school, and teacher of his daughter! But the rooster and the town has other plans...
Okay, good meet-cute, many LOL moments, and good twist about Crazy. 4.5/5

GRR Reviews The Christmas Catch (Holiday Brides) by Ginny Baird

When Christine's friends suggested a Christmas in Vermont, she decided she did need a break... // Professor John is a bachelor, but found romance too... stressful. He's happy to hang with his friends in Vermont. Then a woman almost ran him off the road in a snowstorm. And she's got a kid with her. So he and his golden retriever helped her out. Sweet novella, about 100 pages. PG-13. Nice, but nothing that special.

GRR Reviews Tara (Beach Brides Book 2) by Ginny Baird
Tara is a romance that featured an interesting meet-cute: message in a bottle. However, the trope darkest hour was somewhat of a letdown.
Billionaire banker Heath Wellington was about to propose marriage to his socialite girlfriend when he found a message in a bottle on the beach from a woman asking to be rescued in terms of love. He recognized the sign and decided not to propose. Later he found that his girlfriend had been seeing other people, and he knew he made the right decision. He decided to see if the girl in the bottle message may be a better candidate... // Tara, leader of the Romantic Hearts Book Club, took 11 friends to Enchanted Island, and as sort of a group dare, they each threw a message in a bottle into the ocean. One already met and married the guy who found her message. Now Tara's message had been found, and correspondence started. And Heath was everything Tara could dream of... and vice versa. But Heath's job soon interfered with his love life when he found he may have to deal with Tara's father's bank... and he's caught between revealing secrets or letting down his love.
The darkest hour is basically about betrayal and trust and, let's just say, not enough of one and too much of another. It also indicates some serious immaturity of the FMC. Which is why this didn't get 5/5.

GRR Reviews Wedding Bells Bundle: Four Fun Romanti by Ginny Baird
A collection of four romantic comedies that each involved a wedding, this collection feels somewhat uneven, with the first three stories pretty good, last one however, didn't do it for me.
Christmas Catch: Struggling Mom and kid house-sitting in Vermont romanced by handsome bachelor professor whom she almost ran off the road earlier...
Must-Have Husband: Girl in need of a groom got lost in the woods on a hike and had a handsome bachelor literally fell on top of her (almost) and she took him home to meet the folks!
The Sometimes Bride: Carrie the jilted bride found a ditched bachelor to ride out the PR disaster by agreeing to be mutual "fake fiance"... That never works, right?
How to Marry a Matador: girl went to Spain for business, woke up one morning married to a Matador. Hmmm... Must be the wine.
I like the collection but I don't think the first one is really romantic comedy.
