GRR Reviews Lawfully Remembered by Ginny Sterling

Jesse Smithson, military police, is in the ER with head injury after an encounter with some robbers. When he woke up, he realized he lost his memories. Yet when he saw his nurse, Melissa, it seems to trigger something... that made him wanted to know her better... //  Melissa can't believe Jesse is in her ER, and he didn't recognize her. She had a crush on Jesse all through high school, but she was crushed when she asked him to take her to the prom, and he said he's not going. Yet almost two decades later, he's there, with a blank slate, wanted to know her and date her... Is this the chance she needed all along?

Nothing really major that threatens to tear them apart, but good revelations. 3/5

GRR Reviews Treasured Bride (Bride Books) by Ginny Sterling

Treasured Bride is more of a Western adventure with some element of romance than a Western romance.

Clementine married an older man and went west, but the man was abusive and despite repeated attempts, she can't seem to get pregnant. When mining in Virginia City, Nevada failed to turn any profit, Clementine's husband planned to move out to San Francisco, then to Alaska. Her only solace was the occasional foray into the wild to indulge in her sole hobby, rock collecting. However, her final foray into the wild dropped her into a mine's vent shaft, leaving her stuck and injured with no way home. And her husband simply left her behind... // Micah, the sheriff knew that the young woman was way too fearful of her husband who's twice her age. When the husband left town without her, and the miners claimed there's a ghost in the hills, crying and sobbing and screaming... Micah explored the hills, and found Clementine in the shaft... he rescued her, and took her back to town, but she's a married woman... and she's way too fearful of men to accept Micha's love...

Okay, the story's nice, but it's not really much of a conflict. It's not much of "fighting for what's mine". Things just happen and happen.

Category: Historical Western

Primary Plot: Woman was abandoned by her husband (who believe she ran off), and was later rescued by the sheriff...
