GRR Reviews Falling Over You by Heather C. Myers
Falling Over You was certainly different... about a ghost romancing a girl, but ultimately it's about a girl willing to take a chance on life on her own terms.
Lara Darling moved to New York to follow her fiancee, and can't find a single job in the city, esp. not in the position of working as an editor for any publisher. What's worse, she saw a ghost. Not that she realized that was a ghost at first. His name is Mike, Mike Langdon. And he was apparently a previous owner of the house where Lara and her fiancee resides now. Out of millions of people in New York, only Lara can see... and touch Langdon... and vice versa. Mike knew that Lara is special, but how does a ghost romance a living girl?
SPOILER AHEAD
As it turns out. this ghost has a special connection with Lara... they can see and feel each other. Basically, to her, he's as real as flesh and blood, except he can turn up almost anywhere, any time. So why is he still lingering here? Was he waiting around for her? As it can't be the house. The interesting premise didn't lead anywhere. All we got was a sappy love story and a slightly weird feeling about making love with a ghost.

GRR Reviews Denial: A Modern Emma Adaption by Heather C. Myers
Denial is a charming adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma in a contemporary setting, and it's actually quite charming.
Madeline Perkins want to see people happy, and as if her job being a personal assistant to the notorious Billionaire CEO Robert Swift wasn't tough enough, she also tries to set up people around her, playing matchmaker, often with hilarious or disastrous results. Robert has a penchant of getting himself into trouble with women or booze, and cannot form long relationships. Heck, Madeline was the PA that lasted the longest... 3 years and going. She takes NO vacation days because Robert was demanding at all hours of the day, so much so he hired Madeline an assistant! Robert and Madeline often joked that Madeline is practically Robert's wife... without the title or the benefits. As Maddy tries to set up her assistant Jewel, with the company flirt Ethan, she can't help but swoon over attention by the successful author James, but both were met with Robert's disapproval. Was Robert jealous? Or was Madeline just being a busybody poking her nose where it didn't belong? And what will Madeline do with Robert's attention... if there is any?
I haven't read any Jane Austen, but at least this version didn't read stiff or such. Characters are fun and have complex needs without being too obvious.
