NOTE: The book is also titled as "Fake Marriage Favor"
Nomi is tired of losing. She had already lost the defense of her brother from fraud charges, which also meant closing the lawfirm they founded. She was not about to give up on the city council election... However, she has one leaked compromising photo that her opponent would use against her. She needs help from the other person on the photo, her best (platonic) friend, Malone. // Malone and Nomi are platonic friends for a long time, and Malone wasn't looking for love. Having the ex-fiance stole his entire company definitely soured the mood. When Nomi proposed that they get (fake) married to solve her PR problem, he accepted. That's what best friends do for each other, right? But neither expected the turn of their feelings when they actually kissed...
Somehow, the characters aren't that nice. They are sweet and they have sob stories, but really, marriage of convenience just to repair her CHANCE of repairing her reputation? It somehow just feels very... selfish and egocentric. 3.5/5

GRR Reviews Fake Marriage to her TV Husband by Kacy Cross
Lilith needs publicity to save her business when her half-sister chose to ruin her business via online review bombing. Joining a reality show seems to be a dream come true, and getting married to her TV husband Dane sounds great, as Dane's handsome and suave. But Dane's hiding a huge secret... Dane's actually the high school nerd that got rejected by Lilith. He underwent a total transformation, and the whole show is actually a revenge plot: he'll make Lilith fall for him, then reject her on national TV in the final episode with a full reveal. Except, the more Dane got to know Lilith, the more he realized he got it all wrong. But the producer is determined to see the revenge show through...
Eh... Not feeling much here. How can you make a whole SERIES out of a single revenge idea doesn't really make any sense to me. And online review bombing isn't that hard to fix. Was Lilith really that bad of a person?

GRR Reviews Fake Marriage Favor by Kacy Cross
Nomi hoped to repair her reputation after her twin brother was sent to prison for fraud, which also destroyed her law firm. She decided to run for city council, but she needs a fake husband... fast. Enter best friend Malone... // Malone lost his company after his business partner/fiancee, betrayed him. Now he slings pizza and is definitely not in the mood to get married... But he can't say no to Nomi, esp. when she's the one that stood by him through it all. // The marriage soon turned very real, but neither is ready to admit their real feelings to each other...
Okay, the initial premise about she needed a fake husband is kinda... meh. The rest of push-pull is pretty good though.
