GRR Reviews Marrying Mister Perfect by Lizzie Shane

Jack is a single father and heart surgeon, handsome as sin, loving as a father can be. It's no wonder he got picked as the star in the new season of "Marrying Mister Perfect", a "The Bachelor" style "reality show" where a dozen women will vie for his ring(s). So why did Jack agree? He agreed that he's way too comfortable with Louisa, Jack's wife's friend, who fell into the nanny role after his wife tragically died... and she just never left. It's clear that she felt obligated to him and his family, and perhaps, finding a wife for himself would finally free Lou to chase her own dreams... But what does Lou want? Will Jack realize what he wanted was there all along? Can Jack let Lou know esp. when the camera is always rolling? 

Nice twists and turns, even though the angst is seriously high about how they claim to be sacrificing their own happiness for the other, but it ended up more like "the gift of the magi".

GRR Reviews All He Wants for Christmas by Lizzie Shane

Ty Walker is a Hollywood star, with his own private PR handler. He has a staff to take care of any problems. But when an 11-year old girl showed up on his doorstep a week before Christmas, claiming to be his daughter, nobody has any ideas, not even his super-PR person Andi. Andi is supposed to be flying home for the Holidays, but leaving the girl with Ty, who had never liked Children, does not seem to be an option. With no other choice, she invited both of them to visit her family... And that's when she saw a different side of Ty... One she can fall for...

There are a couple twists, but they seem to be glossed over. Kinda meh.

Romancing Miss Right puts you in the middle of a reality dating show "Romancing Miss Right", where a romance writer and the next bachelorette, under strict control of the executive co-producer, is about to get wooed by more than enough drool-worthy men, and if you like those shows and the machinations you should love this book.

To recap: Marcy Henrickson is the star of the new reality dating show Romancing Miss Right... and a romance writer. She needs the exposure, and she knew finding her soul mate from a bunch of hungry attention seekers willing to be on TV for national humiliation is simply not going to happen. As the guys are all going to be gorgeous and flirty, why not just enjoy the attention? She did not count on Craig Corrow, a fellow attention seeker. Craig was San Diego's "shock jock" radio host who wanted a bigger stage and saw the show the perfect opportunity to propel himself into the national spotlight. He wanted to be charming enough... and just dastardly enough to be the guy everybody hated... but remembered. He did not count on Marcy being a real woman, not a primpy princess... or the executive producer, who won't stand for his... meddling. When it came down to choosing money or love, which way will this "bad boy" go?

While there were several romance novels with reality TV as background, they usually involve something like Newlywed Game where the couple had to fake it through the show but developed real love instead. This is more like the reluctant admission that perhaps the unlikely couple can work. I wasn't a fan of the TV genre, but I like this novel
