GRR Reviews Dreamy BIllionaire Neighbor by Dyanne Gordon Green

Colby is a handsome billionaire, but somehow his luck with women was horrible, and at 29, he's convinced he's a loser... Until Ellie moved in next door. And now Colby sees new possibilities... // Ellie had given up on men after a horrific experience that she could tell no one about. Moving into her aunt and uncle's condo (next to Colby) was her running away from her problems. Meeting Colby was nice, and slowly he melted through her walls. But when she panics again, will she run just like she did before?

This is very Christian, with no sex, and barely any kisses. And there are many scenes of Bible reading and prayers. My problem is Colby's self-inadequacy seems to require no trigger... It just randomly pops up at the most inopportune moment, as if it's just there for dramatic purposes. The ending feels forced.

GRR Reviews The Second Chance Billionaire Cowboy by Bonnie R Paulson

Melody is in heavy debt after her father finally succumbed to his illness (and broken heart, hoping his wife would return "someday"). She will probably be forced to sell the ranch as the mortgage is months overdue, and utilities have been turned off for non-payment. Melody, however, has standards, and Brock's offer of marriage (on her father's burial day!) was NOT appreciated! She went to work, and found Stryder, the guy who broke her heart ten years ago... Is back in town... // Stryder is back in Two Rides, Montana after going to college and making his billion. Somehow along the way, he had lost touch with the only woman he had ever loved... Melody. Now he's back, and she's NOT pleased to see him... What happened in the intervening years, who the heck is Brock making a move on his woman... and how can he get Melody back?

Somehow, Stryder never once got time to visit, even over the weekend, or even have the time to call home? I can understand letters "got lost", but... really? Still, the push-pull is not bad.

Sweet, but not much else. It's also short at merely 100 pages.

GRR Reviews Coming Home to You by Barbara Lohr

Kate is returning to Gull Harber after ten years to help her mom... and needing a place to figure things out after a divorce. The town is changing fast... and the boy she was crazy about back in school, Cole,  is now a single father that's trying to rebuild the town. But Cole also broke her heart by dumping her before prom. Now, Kate needs Cole's help to get her flower and plant stand up and running, while Cole needs Kate's help to care for his eight-year-old daughter, who needs some good female influence, either from Kate or her mother, who's recovering from dementia. But when Cole's plan for a downtown building runs against Kate's desires to keep the town the way it was, will their love survive?

Somehow, the threat is mostly in Kate's mind... as a bit of guilty conscience, as she ginned up some posters against Cole's plans to tear down some downtown building to rebuild it as a hotel to attract more tourist dollars. And she's like "Oh, how I misjudged him, therefore I can't be with him." Sheesh, just confess and let him decide, okay? The small town charm is there.

GRR Reviews Lifted by Love by Bob McCullough

Mari had a heart condition that makes her prone to pass out under stressful conditions. With no treatment available, her only chance is to manage her condition with a service dog that can sense her problems before she does. Chris is a gifted dog trainer, and his newest trainee, Adele, is a perfect dog for Mari's condition. Chris and Mari connected immediately, through more than just the dog. But will they stay together through the trials and tribulations?

You get the story from the dog's POV too. Unique, but the love story was a bit on the simpler side without too much... threat to it. It's mostly sweetness.

GRR Reviews Finding Spring by Bridget E Baker

Trudie is a single mother (with a diabetic child) soon to graduate with an IT degree, but she can find no work in IT due to lack of experience. Desperate for any work, she landed a temporary personal assistant position (the original PA is going on maternity leave) with a tech startup and hot CEO. On her first day of work, she found a keylogger on the CEO's computer... // Paul, who goes by Jack in his personal company, had already been ruined once by corporate espionage. This time, he started with a brand new team, brand new location, and a different name, but someone still managed to penetrate his defenses and cloned his latest invention. With Trudie's help, Jack will find out who is spying on his company... And in turn, Paul will come to value Trudie as a friend, and potential love interest. But he didn't know Trudie is his brother's wife's best friend... and soon his "double life" will be exposed... and the identity of his nemesis will shock him...

Good developments and twists, though I think the part about "cloning a phone" was a bit too easy. At least the vulnerability is plausible. 4/5

GRR Reviews The Billionaire Disguise by Kate Palmer

Ella returned to her family ranch for the summer, hoping to make it her final project in order to graduate, and thus, invoke the trust to make it hers permanently. She arrived only to find that her stepmother had leased the ranch to the Duke family. However, she's determined to do her project... By hiding on the ranch as the new groundskeeper. // Stone keeps his two identities separate... In public, he's the Duke heir, but when he needs his alone time, he's just Stone. And going to the ranch as the new operations manager is his Stone time. Meeting Ella asleep in the room was a surprise... And it's clear Ella is hiding something from him... // Ella cannot afford interference from ANYONE, including Stone, who cannot know she's the rightful heir to the ranch... For she just learned that her stepmother claimed to be the owner and leased it to Dukes with option to buy, withOUT mentioning that the title is actually in a trust.  But Duke can tell she's more than just the groundskeeper when she clearly knows much more about the ranch than merely a groundskeeper. But when the stepmom found out, and exposed her, is it all over for her dreams? Or will Stone recognize the threat and protect the one who needs it most?

While I like the way the fairy tale (for it's obviously a takeoff on Cinderella) was setup, the darkest hour feels really forced. Also, the ending attack is not chemically or physically possible. Valium CANNOT be used as contact sedative. While it *can* absorbed through the skin, a valium laced smoothie, soaking through the clothes, would not get enough on the victim to act as a sedative. And Ella is simply TOO naive and lacks self-preservation instincts, falling into TSTL category. I really wanted to give this a 4/5 but in the end, Ella's TSTL means this can't be more than 3/5.

He asked the prettiest woman at the ball for a dance, only to realize that was his ex-wife Hazel. Nate and Hazel divorced when their young son died from cancer before his 1st birthday, and the loss tore them apart. When Hazel found her sister was knocked unconscious back in Montana, Nate changed his plans and flew with Hazel to Montana, and it's clear they are not over each other. But each believes he/she is not worthy of the other. As Nate and Hazel investigate the attack, it's clear there's a conspiracy in town... Someone has been systemically driving away existing owners and buying up downtown...  But who? And will Nate and Hazel be the next victim?

Not bad, but not must-read either. Ticks all the right places, but nothing extraordinary.

GRR Reviews Never Enough by Roxie Noir

Gavin was a rock-n-roll god... and a total screwup. He managed to kick his heroin addiction, but his manager told him that he also needs to find a girlfriend... Or his record company will pull the deal. Desperate to not punch someone, he went outside to smoke... Then a woman wearing a suit (at a concert?!) looking for her lost textbook locked him out (by accident). And she has no idea who he is.  Then Gavin's FORMER bandmate Liam showed up drunk and coked up, and burned various things, including her textbook... That's how Gavin met Marisol. Gavin bought Marisol a replacement book (delivered by Amazon overnight) then had an insane plan... What if Gavin can convince Marisol to be his fake girlfriend? Marisol first refused as Gavin's reputation for being a wild guy is totally opposite of her, but circumstances forced her acceptance. It'll only be two months...

Good push-pull between Marisol and Gavin, with the added complications of being a recovering addict, and you know Liam will return and muck things up.
