GRR Reviews Lovers' Quarrel: A Sweet Romance by Jessica L. Randall

Lover's Quarrel is a romantic comedy between radio personality Karina Kruz and wedding planner/ all-around good guy Ben Adler who was ruined by Karina's on-air ambush. It's basically "enemies into lovers" trope set in a small town with talk show radio as background. It was definitely LOL funny at times, and sweet at others.

To recap, radio DJ Karina Kruz hosts Lovers' Quarrel, the hottest confrontational call-in show that vowed to confront infidelity in the city, one caller at a time. However, she seems to have met her match in Ben Adler, after a confrontation caused him his career as a wedding planner in the city AND his girlfriend. Hoping to redeem himself, he gets on the show and ended up with a wager against Karina... If Karina can dig up dirt on him that proved he's a cheating bastard, Karina will apologize on air and pay for the engagement ring, else Ben gets roasted on air... again. When Karina went to Ben's hometown Willow Grove hoping for dirt, Ben joined her program on air, the town folks are caught in the crossfire for popularity ratings... in very unexpected ways. And as Ben and Karina found out a lot about each other (as they went to dig up dirt on each other), they found that perhaps, they are not as hostile to each other as they thought... and they really do have their own demons they must confront...

In a way, this is a subtle dig on why must there be truth all the time? Not all deception is ill-intentioned, and trust is a must in any relationship. And once you've bared your soul, what else is left?
