Women of Strength collection is a bundled book containing clean (i.e. no sex) western historical romances that seems to lack polish or ends rather abruptly. There are mail-order bride stories, trail bride stories, and even just straight adventure stories where the women were forced by evil stepfather or stepmother to leave their home and take a chance on the frontier, though one or two were just about defying the family. Most stories seem to end on the note "Yes, I will stay with you", and several of them relied on deus ex machina to get there. If you want to read a bunch of stories where good things simply HAPPEN to good people, these stories would do. If you actually want to read stories about good people actually DOING things to change their circumstances, this is probably NOT a collection you'd want to read.
