GRR Reviews Who Is She? by Patricia Kay

Hope was raised by nuns at a convent, with only a locket as the clue to her identity... and she never got until a few weeks ago, when the sister who raised her finally had her effects traced and handed over to her. Moreover, ever since, touching that locket gave her visions... of what may have been... that she is determined to find her family... and to her shock, she found she may be the missing Hollister heiress Elizabeth, missing since she was 1. Now she's on her way to visit the family... // Paul Hollister was adopted, and the loss of his adoptive parents (Elizabeth's biological parents) hit him hard too. Now he helps the family matron Virginia manage the estate, and run his business. Paul knew there were many frauds over the years that claimed to be the missing heiress, and he was sure this "Hope" would just be another fraud. However, Hope proved to be more truthful than he expected, and even he felt an attraction toward her that he can't deny. However, what secrets could Hope be keeping?

The mystery surrounding the identity of Hope was pretty good as you weren't quite sure who's who till the end, though you suspected. However, the investigation was done by third-party, not involving Hope and Paul directly, and somehow it just didn't quite feel that immediately. The darkest hour IMHO was lame though. The grand-gesture was meh too. I liked the mystery well enough, which I am not spoiling. Let's just say, Hope has a certain "gift" that affected her in different ways.

Category: Contemporary / Mystery

Primary Plot: Is she, or isn't she, the missing Hollister heir? The adopted son is determined to find out, even as he fell for her... But what secrets is she keeping?

Overall Rating: 4/5

NOTE: Tropes are now in the "Labels" below.
