GRR Reviews Operation: Protected Angel by Margaret Kay

Shepherd Security just got an emergency mission... Someone just bombed the convention center. A US Marshall managed to secure a witness, but the evac convoy was hit. They made it to the hospital, and they need extraction of the witness ASAP but there are unknown hostiles on the scene. The team, lead by Jackson, was able to secure the witness and transported her to Shepherd's secure location. // Angel woke up in pain, dizzy, restrained, and held captive by heavily armed men. But they don't seem to be her captors... Without a choice, she trusted Jackson, and was able to provide important clues on the terrorists. Angel and Jackson fell for each other, and Jackson is willing to quit and got into WITSEC with Angel. But first, she will be moved to US Marshall's custody while Jackson and team will pursue the team... But there's a traitor...

The plot and writing were rather clumsy. There were THREE backward time jumps in the first few pages, as if the author couldn't quite decide where to start the story, and decided to do all three. There are also some disturbing violent scenes that may or may not have been necessary. The way they fell for each other could be insta-love... or was it Stockholm Syndrome? Anyway, some brilliance, but still flawed.
