GRR Reviews The Hitman's Mistake by Sally Brandle

Miranda accidentally witnessed a crooked cop and an assassin tried to take out a judge, and managed to save the judge. But the crooked cop and the killer knows who she is, and she had to run for her life. Her only hope was an FBI agent she only had an awkward encounter with in a small Montana town where she's a stranger. // Grant was heading home in Montana to visit his folks and help his dad out by taking supplies to a mountain man. Finding Miranda on the path, with a bullet wound to her side, was definitely not in his plans. How did she find him? Is she an accomplice or an innocent bystander caught up on the web of deceit? And how can he protect her?

Two major plot holes that beg explanation: 1) NOBODY in town can protect her, and she had to get all the way to Montana to trust a man she doesn't even know how to find? WTF? 2) The darkest hour was a TSTL (too stupid to live) moment. Let's just say... A certain boogeyman knows when to just... pop back up. Oh, and there's a certain weapon mentioned, only moments before the darkest hour, but never used.  3.5/5
