Historical daddy dom / spank novel, but with an actual character arc. it's... an interesting combination. I usually have a problem with the quasi-sensual BDSM play, and spanking, esp. when it was meant as punishment, somehow turns into sex. And it's clear Edward really wanted her (fingering her into her first orgasm). So there's definitely some taboo aspect involved. The darkest hour is kinda trope though... Spank play version (she runs away, feeling inadequate, he caught her, brought her back, punished her for running and doubting herself, then loved her). It's better than I expected. 4/5
