Ruby and Carter were high school sweethearts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana... He's not approved by her family, but they didn't care. Carter was destined for college football, and picked UC Berkeley in California. They were supposed to go together. Well, this book is your standard "secret baby" and all the tropes are used. But some parts about American football seems to be a bit... off. Why she ran without asking him five years ago was also a bit of... "fragile ego". Other parts are quite good. 4/5
