GRR Reviews The Start of Something Good by Jennifer Probst

Ethan returned to Hudson Valley after being discharged from Special Forces. He had failed someone on his final mission, and while his body has mostly healed, his heart hadn't. He kept mostly to himself on his sister's farm and B&B. Until a woman wandered onto the farm... // Mia is a city girl, and a top PR agent out of Manhattan, but as a special favor to her favorite client, a politician, she'll do babysitting duty... Make sure that the politician's daughter serves out her community service at the farm away from prying eyes. Her uptight city-bred manners clashed immediately with Ethan's relaxed brooding attitude. But as the summer went on, they discovered a lot about each other that they liked, even as the truth about the politician's daughter came to light...  But Mia has a career in the city, and Ethan has no desire to leave the farm. Can such a relationship ever work? Or will their past hold them back?

Nice detailed history about both, without making them super-angst-y. The initial clashes are quite masterful, both believing the other is wrong, but it's one of those "looks are only skin deep" kind of deal. I think the ending was a bit too... convenient (someone had an epiphany).  4.5/5
