GRR Review: The Doctor Wears a Stetson by Anne Marie Novark

The Doctor Wears a Stetson by Anne Marie Novark is tale of unrequited love however, the FMC seems to be behaving so stupidly I sometimes want to shake some sense into her.

Cameron McCade, school's ultra-jock (quarterback of football team, duh) took Jessie, a FRESHMAN, to the prom, kissed, but he had to leave soon for medical school, so he didn't do anything except break her heart (went up to lover's lane with the view and all that, but only kissed her). Seventeen years later, Cameron is a burned-out doctor and Jessie... is married and widowed, and still trying to keep her garage (inherited from her father) in business, while paying her late husband's medical expenses... AND trying to find a doctor for the town clinic in honor of her late husband. Cameron is back, but this time, it is Jessie that turned away, not once, but multiple times.

The book did end on a HEA, but the ride there is... mighty uncomfortable.

Category: Contemporary

Primary Plot: Burned out doctor is back in town; widow who once loved the doctor is not quite ready to love again, or is she?

Overall Rating: 2/5
