Discerning Spirits is a Christian Clean Romance (i.e. no sex) that proposes that angels, and half-angel beings, known as Celestia Divisas (or just Celestias for short) are already among us, and occasionally they fall in love with humans, and they mate for life. Each of them has a gift. Zeph was a double Celestia, which means he's the result of a union of two Celestias, but he seems to have no gift that anyone can discern. When he spotted a new girl in school named Eve, whom he believed to be Celestia but is completely ignorant of it, he must learn more about this girl, and perhaps, learn more about his own destiny, as well as find Eve's own past.
The story was just a bit too... convenient, and this will involve SPOILERS
WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD
Too many "coincidences".
* It just happens that the girl and her mom moved to the Celestia town
* It just happens that the girl's long-lost birth father was the Celestia and Zeph's "counselor"
Add to that the behavior of Eve's mom... Despite having seen her former lover for more than a decade, as she took his... "dalliance" with another female as his betrayal of her, within MINUTES of him showing up against at her door, she basically took him back.
I know this is spiritual Romance so it's about a lot of miracles, but even Miracles need to be... foreshadowed a bit more.
