GRR Review Katie: Clover Springs Mail Order Brides by Rachel Wesson

Katie started off with pretty standard mail order bride tropes (bad circumstances and/or evil relatives forcing the bride to take a chance at a husband sight unseen) but this book managed to milk the trope for all its worth by using Irish background for all its worth.

Katie arrived in the United States full of hope, but after 8 months of getting nowhere, and with a greedy uncle ready to force her into something unpleasant, she chose her own fate by marrying herself out West as a mail order bride. Daniel Sullivan needs to be married to get a loan from the bank, but the only girl that caught his eyes... was the girl already taken, Katie. When Daniel saved her during a train robbery, she fell for him, but she's determined to go through her vows...

It also added a train robbery and the bride getting stuck in a different town and falling for a different man. As for how the plot was resolved, well, that's the surprise! Add a sister as well. It's a good variation on the mail order bride story.
