GRR Reviews Lovestruck in London by Rachel Schurig

Lovestruck in London is an international love story, but the FMC was too weak and stood up too late to be believable.

Lizzie Medina great up middle class and was taught that hard work at a union job was the way to go at life... even if she had no passion for teaching. She got a post-grad program in London with her best friend, and tried to reinvent herself and met the up-and-coming actor (but 2nd fiddle) Thomas Harper, who wooed her as only a star can. Lizzie knew what she wanted, but can she go after it instead of yielding to her family's wishes AGAIN?

When you got to dad slapping the table yelling "You're not going, and that's final!" it's gotten from dramatic to melodramatic and overdone. Lizzie knew what she wanted. And she let her family walked all over her before she had enough. That's not much of a darkest hour.  Thomas was just there, be the atypical Hollywood nice guy, and the family just somehow came across as extremely shallow.
