GRR Reviews To Love Again: A Sweet Romance by Lillianna Blake

To Love Again is the start of a series about men and women in their 40's finding love again. While the characters seem to be of the proper age, their maturity seems to be a bit on the low side but perhaps that can be explained away as they are already set in their ways and needed time to change. The darkest hour was contrived, and the grand gesture wasn't that grand, leaving a rather... mediocre romance in its wake.

Nicole had lost her mojo at 42, being divorced, with grown up kids, and now her ex is getting married. Someone recommended a resort vacation. What Nicole didn't know is the resort also has a reputation of being a matchmaking place. Gavin threw everything he had into the marriage. When that didn't work out he threw everything into his job instead, and was ordered by his boss (and best friend) to take a break... or have his biggest client taken away... and his booking at the resort was already confirmed. Neither Nicole nor Gavin wanted to be there, but once they are there, Gavin found Nicole to be irresistible and put out all his charm to woo her, while Nicole, not used to the attention, chose to hide some facts about herself which eventually lead to the darkest hour...

SPOILER

I SAID SPOILER

Really? That lead to a blow-up? WTF? WHO expects a woman in her forties to NOT have ANY kids? Sheesh.

The rest of romance is not bad, which is why this didn't get a 2 star. And the HEA sort of redeemed it.
