GRR Reviews Firemen Romances: 3 Hot Firefighter Shorts by Leslie Johnson

Firemen Romances are three stories about romancing a fireman. First one was a bit long and took a couple turns, but when the story came full circle it finally felt right. The second one was pretty tense for a while. The third one was merely lukewarm.

One: Jessie ran from her cheating BF and took a summer for herself... and fell for the sexy firefighter next door, Ryan. And they had a beautiful two months... Then when asked to spend more time with him, she panicked and ran back home, and found her cheating BF, who wanted a second chance, never changed. So Jessie ran again... Setting up life elsewhere... then Ryan entered her life once again...

Two: Cassie has a choice to make... accept the wooing by the rich Nick Mandeville, who is reeling from his own broken heart... or revel in the attention from the Aussie firefighter Brendan who moved to town. But when life threw her a curve... her best friend moved away, and her new apartment was rendered uninhabitable, the person who thought offered her shelter turned out to be wolf in sheep's clothing...

Three: Francine was supposed to go back to the US after spending a year in Poland teaching, but her oma want her to settle in Europe, and she ended up living in Germany and met handsome firefighter Erich, but who is this female companion that was so close to Erich, yet not a girlfriend? What was their story, and how do they fit into her new life?

The first story threw me for a loop for a while as it's almost all standard romance, nothing about firefighting. Though that did come up near the end of the story. Second story seems to be the best with some serious tension. Third one barely involved any firefighting as well, and was all relationship and guessing. ALl in all I like it well enough to give this 3.5/5, rounded up to 4/5.

Category: Contemporary / romantic suspense

Primary Plot: N/A, collection

Tropes: firefighter, scars, fling to a thing, woman in peril, protector, fated mates, stalker

Overall Rating:  4/5 (rounded up from 3.5/5)
