GRR Reviews The Unwanted Wife (The Unwanted Serie by Natasha Anders

The Unwanted Wife is an interesting romance that put a new twist on the trope about marrying NOT out of love but out of obligation. Can such a marriage have a chance?

Theresa Noble was brought up to entertain her father's guests and be the perfect hostess until she saw the most handsome man ever... the Italian Sandro De Lucci, and they got married, but she got pregnant and miscarried once. Then the love died. Now 18 months after marriage, Sandro is now ice cold. They still have sex, but there is no love behind it. Theresa wanted a divorce, and Sandro demands one thing in return: a son. And the stalemate continues until Theresa realized they were both being played... By her cruel father, Jackson Noble...

Without spoiling the story too much, the story was super-angst-y where Theresa was trapped in her marriage, and so was Sandro. But their circumstances did not change until... some EXTERNAL factor resolved it for them. But is there actual love between the two... or was it just all pretense? That, you have to read the book for yourself. You will weep at Theresa's circumstances, and the secret Sandro kept for the obligations, and you'll discover who's the real douchebag. Too bad there's not enough karma for him here.
