GRR Reviews Abused and Accused Mail Order Bride by Terri Grace

Abused and Accused Mail Order Bride (saved by a humble ranch hand) has a title that was way too long for a mere 76 page story, but it was properly plotted, and it's not a typical mail-order bride story. However, characters are relatively shallow, and reference to God jarring.

Antonia ran west to escape an arranged marriage to become a mail-order bride, only to be abused by her new husband. When he was found dead, she was the prime suspect and caught. If no one figured out the truth, she would be hung...But one humble ranchhand who knew of the dead man's reputation will find the truth...

Without spoiling the story, let's just say there are more than a few people who want to kill the guy and it is up to the ranch hand to find out who, before the sentence can be carried out. I find the reference to God jarring and not really needed for the plot.  It's not even really a romance but about deliverance from evil and faith.
