NOTE: The Book was originally Titled "Billionaire's Deal", then re-released under the current name. The review will refer to it by the originally reviewed name.
Billionaire's Deal is a formulaic "billionaire hired a woman to play girlfriend, who fell for him" book. It reads like a "written by formula" book too.
Kat Wilder has only one purpose in life... Get her sister to college. She's the only provider in the family after the death of their parents, and she had to drop out of school, wasting the athletic scholarship, and she's barely making ends meet juggling multiple jobs waiting tables and more. Her lack of college degree limited her job prospects... Until she met Blake, a billionaire tech CEO with his own agenda... Blake needs Kat to play his girlfriend, pretending to be in love with him for 6-12 months... and she'll be generously compensated... several HUNDRED thousand dollars. There will even be a scholarship for her sister. And there may even be sex... But Blake is the kind of kinky alpha male that requires Kat to submit to his desires... even the kinky ones... and Kat slowly fell in love with Blake, not the money or privilege or material things... but Blake himself.
Basically a fairy tale... the idea that Blake would pick Kat, the down-and-almost-out waitress to be his pretend girlfriend was almost ludicrous. The rest of the book is so formulaic and the girl so... passive (not doormat, merely... passive) there's no drama in this book at all.
