Falling Into Forever is a "woman on the run met a friendly face in small town" trope, albeit nicely polished.
Officer Rhys Anderson was just finishing up his shift at Cedar Springs when he encountered a beautiful woman, driving a beautiful Mercedes, stranded on the side of the road. She is Kari Fox, and she's hiding a huge secret... She ran away from her controlling ex, after finally growing a backbone. She had no money of her own, and she definitely did not count on being stuck in a small mountain town... or getting help from a handsome police officer. Kari cut all ties, even tossed her phone, and refused to use credit cards to reveal her location. And as the town found her a room to stay and even a job to earn her living, Kari slowly started to relax and settle into the town's life... Until circumstances conspire to force her secret out into the open. And one thing Rhys can't stand... is a liar. Will Kari run again? Or is Rhys going to work it out with her?
Secrets are slowly revealed about Kari, and without spoiling the end, let's just say there will be a big confrontation and there will be an HEA. Emotions are real, and Kari's attempt to fit in and Rhys' attempt to help make for an interesting spin on the trope and raised it above mediocre.
